Adovia Moisturizing Day Cream

I want to start out by giving you an outlook on my skin type, which I lovingly refer to as the "snake" type. I have severely dry skin year around. Winter is typically worse; I take on the disguise of a molting snake. I also suffer from eczema over my entire body, being at its worst on my shoulders, arms and cheeks. This can become irritated when using certain skin products, resulting in a itching, burning mess that practically glows bright red. Over the years, I've muddled and experimented with several types of moisturizers, oils, cleansers... You name it, I've probably tried it. Each product would either work for a short time or not at all, causing a loss of patience and money. When I saw the opportunity to try a new moisturizing day cream, I was all for it! Nothing can be worse than the moisturizer-that-shall-not-be-named which turned my skin into molten lava, right? I wanted to learn more before jumping into reviewing the product and set my sights on learning. Adovia caught my attention from the get go. It claimed to be a non-greasy, hypoallergenic formula that absorbs quickly and contains Dead Sea Minerals, natural oils, and aloe vera gel. Now this sounds fantastic. I've tried Dead Sea Mineral products before and loved them, but they all came at a steep price: a big hit to the pocketbook. And then there was the best thing I've seen about a moisturizer: 100% CRUELTY FREE and never tested on animals. Being an animal lover, this is more important than anything else. I practically jumped for this opportunity and before I knew it, this beautiful box arrived at my door. For me, first impressions mean everything and that includes packaging. The box was simple, yet beautiful and said everything it needed to without drowning it in words. I gave my skin a day to 'dry out' from my previous moisturizer so I could really get down and dirty with Adovia's Moisturizing Day Cream. I wanted the plain truth and did not use any other oils, moisturizers, or lotions for my first week with Adovia. Now for the nitty gritty on Adovia. The cream is silky and light. Adovia doesn't leave a wet or greasy feel to my skin. Rubbing it in was simple and didn't require any extended effort or after-blotting to remove any film. A little goes a long way. I put a bit on my finger and dabbed it on my cheeks, chin and forehead then rubbed it in with a circular motion (as recommended). I was impressed with the immediate results. My skin felt softer, smoother and more radiant. After a week, I noticed a dramatic difference in my skin. I was no longer finding dry skin flaking off mid-day. This was something I'd become accustomed to and would often have to re-moisturize several times throughout the day just to keep from looking like I was mid-molt. By week two, I didn't have a single dry spot on my face. Friends and coworkers started commenting on my radiant complexion and asking what I'd been up to (they too were accustomed to hearing me complain about flaking and dry patches). My skin felt and looked amazing. The difference was clearly visible. Week three produced a new challenge: Sunburn. I'd spent a bit too much time outside sans sunscreen and developed the common peeling that comes along with it. I applied Adovia as normal and noticed that even the peeling of my over-cooked epidermis minimized.
