I was able to score a free graze box using a friend code. I've heard so many amazing reviews and wanted to try one out for myself. A graze box costs $6.00/box and you have the option of receiving them every week or every two weeks. There are two different boxes; the nibblebox and the caloriecounter box. Shipping is free! When you sign up, you can go through the snacks and trash, try, like or love snacks to give graze a heads up on what they can send you (this doesn't guarantee that those are what you will get). In my nibblebox, I received:
Toffee Apple - dried granny smith apples with a toffee dip
Punchy Protein Nuts - chili and lime cashews, raw and blanched almonds and raw pistachio kernels
cracking black peppercorn - black pepper rice crackers
triple berry smoothie - mini strawberries, blueberries, cranberries and dried banana slices
I was super excited to try all these new, healthy snacks! Reviews have been booming and everyone always boasted about how good graze is. I dug right in after unboxing the snacks. I have never been more disappointed. I tried the Triple Berry Smoothie first. It was actually really good! Other than the strange texture of the dried bananas, the mini strawberries, blueberries and cranberries were delish (and I hate cranberries and blueberries). It was probably the best snack in the box! The Cracking Black Peppercorn was absolutely awful. I popped one in my mouth, crunched and immediately spit it back out. The texture and crunch almost made them seem expired. Like trying to eat a potato chip from a bag that has been sitting open for 3 months. My husband found it disgusting as well and my dogs wouldn't touch them (and they eat paper plates). I don't eat nuts (other than peanuts in candy bars) so I didn't try the Puncy Protein Nuts. I'm going to donate them to a coworker who does enjoy nuts. Last, but not least, Toffee Apple. It was pretty good. Not terrific. The apples were delicious, but the toffee was a little strange. I can't quite pinpoint what was off about it, but it didn't immediately turn me off. Overall, the box was disappointing. 1 out of 4 snacks, the Triple Berry smoothie, is the only one I could find myself devouring on a weekly basis. I can honestly say, in my opinion, that I won't be subscribing to graze. I'd likely end up donating or tossing numerous snacks a month, and I don't like wasting food, so I won't waste my money. If you enjoy trying new snacks, and aren't afraid of biting into something awful, try it out for yourself. Currently, by using my friendcode you can receive your 1st and 5th box FREE. Here is the link: http://www.graze.com/us/p/DZ1Z4VCPT I do receive $1.00 off my next box for anyone who uses the code, however there is also the option to donate it to the graze school of farming. I will be donating any money accrued from clicks. Try out the box for yourself! Just because I wasn't enthused with it doesn't mean you shouldn't try it.
