Periods are the bane of my existance. And that seems to be a common theme with a lot of women. The cramps, bloating, discomfort. It's like being punished for having a uterus. Come on Mother Nature, just send me a text!

Le Parcel is a period or time-of-the-month subscription box that delivers your much needed feminine products to your door. But there's a bonus: the goodies.

We all want to feel like life still appreciates us as we writhe in discomfort in our period sweatpants. What better than a surprise box of goodies?

Le Parcel is $15.00(+S&H) a month, tailored to arrive just before you period starts and comes with 25 feminine items, chocolate and gifts. You get to chose which feminine products come in your box. They have brands like Always, U by Kotex, and Tampax. Pick your brand, how many you want of each type (tampons, pads and pantiliners), then sit back and wait for your day to come.

I'd been craving this box for a while. I'd seen unboxings and photos, but really wanted to try it out for myself. The only part that upset me was the box arrived almost a week late, but that could have been the post offices fault, so I won't hold that against them. I can honestly say it was much better than what I'd expected.

Your standard feminine care items. I chose the new Always Infinity pads Super with wings. Let me tell you something about these pads though. They are the most comfortable pads I have ever used. I figured I'd give them a whirl with this box and now I'm hooked. They just conform to your body so well and don't trap moisture outside of the pad. They are just fantastic.

I also chose U by Kotex pantiliners and U by Kotex Click tampons.

It may bother some people that these items aren't packaged, but Le Parcel does package them in their own resealable, cute bags.

I have heard so many amazing things about Knot truffles, but could never find them anywhere near me. I let out a pretty childish squeel when I learned these would be in the box.

I received the flavors Toffee, Dark Chocolate and Espresso. They didn't last long.

The espresso truffle was fantastic. The little crunch of the crushed beans just made the experience.

The toffee truffle wasn't my favorite, but still absolutely delicious (coming from someone who hates toffee).

The dark chocolate truffle was my favorite. I love dark chocolate, but Knot made the experience that much better.

Extremely high quality chocolates in my opinion.

A woman can never have too many hair ties. It's like you buy a 50 pack and they are all missing within a week. Where do these things go?

These Kitsch hair ties are like the tied bands (which I've come to love). There are three plain black bands and two glittery bands.

If you are anything like me and have no where to go when you have entered Shark Week, you'll need these. Don't kid yourself, you probably won't do your hair if it feels like an alien is going to burst from your abdomen.

This little notebook surprised me. It was like they were reading my mind. I love to keep a little notebook in my purse just in case I need to write down a phone number, blog idea or web address, etc. I had just filled out my last one about two weeks before, so the timing was perfect.

This might not be as exciting for everyone as it is for me, but I love little things like this. It's adorable and perfect for my notetaking.

I was so, so happy to see this in the box. It's Puur foot lotion in Fresh Peppermint. Why is that exciting? Well, look at the small print. It's from Etsy. Which means that Le Parcel is helping to support small businesses and people who might supplement their income by selling homemade goods.

My feet are disgustingly dry. Seriously. They are nasty. Anything I can get my hands on and slather on them is worth it. This lotion smells SO GOOD and a little goes a long way, so even the 2oz jar will last a while.

The best part is that it actually helped. My feet are no where near baby butt smooth, but they aren't nearly the cheese graters they were before.

This. This is amazing. For every Pura Vida bracelet purchase, it helps to provide a full time job for artisans in Costa Rica. I love the fact that Le Parcel is using their service to help other services that do good.

The bracelet is really simple, and that is what I love about it. It's colorful and simple. Gorgeous.

I was so impressed with this box. From previous boxes I'd seen, it didn't seem like they had much to offer, but I was wrong. I was surprised to receive so many gift items, I figured there'd be one, maybe two. Not four. The quality of the items is amazing. Sure, they are small things, but they are things that I will use.

I am even more happy that they have chosen to use Etsy shops for products in their boxes. I know a lot of Etsy sellers that use their homemade goods to supplement their income and make ends meet. The Pura Vida bracelet and the story behind it just made me aww. Why stock a subscription box with commercial items you can buy at Target or Ulta? Products like these, the homemade items that are more rare mean far more to me than some commercially sold makeup.

I am in love with this box and if you are looking for a period subscription, try Le Parcel. Seriously. The quality of this box was far greater than any other time-of-the-month box I've had.
