You have a load of clothes sitting in the laundry room. You've been dreading the washing, drying and folding...but you are almost out of underwear and the kids need socks. Laundry can be a daunting task. Something you have to do, but don't really want to do. Well, doing laundry just got one step easier with the new Purex PowerShot. No more overusing your detergent and running out before the clothes are clean. Just flip. Dose. Done. Now I am one who hates trying to fill up those little lids and somehow dumping detergent all over the place, and not to mention the dripping when you try to put the cap back on (I'm a putz, what can I say). Purex PowerShot automatically doses for your load (1 flip for regular, 2 for heavy duty) and there's no measuring cap to mess with. Just snap the lid shut and go.
Purex PowerShot is super concentrated, meaning you are going to get more cleaning bang for your buck; those stains don't have a chance.
It comes in two amazing scents: Mountain Breeze and Natural Elements Linen & Lillies. I received the Mountain Breeze and it smells wonderful. It fills the room with a light scent, covering the musky smell of the laundry hamper.
It's super easy to use. It automatically fills the next dose and is ready for use! Just flip open the cap, pour your dose in, flip back up, close and go. No mess, no fuss and most importantly, no detergent on my hands or on the outside of the washer. (It was easy enough I was able to left-hand it and take a picture!) Now I did a couple of different loads (lights, darks, towels, intimates, sheets...we had a lot of laundry) and with each load I was confident that Purex PowerShot would get the job done. And it sure did! The sheets (pictured) had a large stain from my darling husband spilling soda all over his side of the bed. After Purex PowerShot, that stain was gone and not even detectable (the husband is super lucky, those are my favorite sheets).
I was expecting to find at least one item that Purex PowerShot did not get completely clean. My mission failed. Every article of clothing came out spotless and soft, smelling wonderful. From the pop stained sheets to ice melt stained jeans, every piece was good as new. The darks were still dark, the lights were brilliant. It didn't 'catch' on my dress pants, leaving a white powder-like stain. All in all, I think I've found a new favorite. Super easy to dispense, smells terrific and gets the dirty jobs done. Now if I could just find a product that automatically folds the clothes, I'd be in business! *The Purex brand provided me with a sample of Purex PowerShot detergent in exchange for a review.
