We all have someone in our lives we want to spoil. And I want to spoil my pets. Cats always get a bad reputation for being aloof, but my boys are my pride and joy.
There are hundreds of subscription boxes; boxes for make up, men, organic products, dogs...and cats!
It can be difficult to find new toys and treats for your cat, and it can be pretty expensive, especially if you have a picky feline. So what better than a box that will send you new exciting products for your kitty?
Meowbox is a cat subscription box out of Canada (not to be confused with Meowbox that is paired with Barkbox out of the US). For $32.95 (incl. S&H), your kitty can get new toys and treats to tingle their senses every month. Each box comes with five or more goodies for you to enjoy.
Upon opening the box, there is a sweet little note saying hello to your feline(s). I was happy they spelt my boys names right! We didn't spell either name the traditional way. Typically Maddex is spelt Maddox and Dartanyen is actually spelt D'artagnan (but who wants to make it that difficult).
The second I opened the box, the cats were interested. They could probably smell the treats and catnip. Plus Dartanyen can usually spot anything he deems fun from a mile away.
Jerry Kurlz - Road Runner

For the cat who loves feathers. The Jerry Kurlz Road Runner is a quail feather attached to a twisted paper-like loop and marinated in catnip. It claims to replace all of the stolen hairties your kitty might have stocked up on.
Dartanyen loved this toy. It is simply made, but a favorite. You can find him carrying it around the house on most days. Sleeping with it, batting it around, rubbing on the feather.
The Empurrium --Teaser Wand Cat Toy

My cats love teaser wands and this one was no exception. It's simple, a wood handle, stretchy sting with feathers and a bell attached at the end.
Maddex and Dartanyen loved the teaser wand. Dartanyen continuously tried to walk away with it, causing it to snap back and hit me (see the unboxing video below).
Dartanyen has already managed to remove the green feather and now will play with it solo or carry around the whole teaser wand. I've found it in our bed, in his bed, in the bathroom. He just drags it all over the place.
Amazing Pet Products -- Bouncy Ball Blinking Toy
MSRP: $4.96
A cute little bouncy ball that flashes bright colors and engages your cat in active play.
Maddex is the keeper of this toy. He's our little fetcher. He bats it around and chases it all around the house. He was immediately intrigued by this toy.
He loves to lay and rub on it; I'm assuming because the spikes give a slight massaging effect.
We've had to be careful because if the dogs get ahold of this thing, it won't survive. They are the destroyers of toys and have sent many a cat toy to the play thing graveyard.
From the Field -- Sammy Saturn
MSRP: $11.11
A cork ball and hemp rope marinated in a blend of catnip and valerian root.
Maddex is my catnip addict (we've tried intervention, it didn't work). He gets all mellow and laidback while high on the 'nip. This was his favorite item. He tried tearing the package open before I was able to get to it!
He still carries it around and tosses it in the air; rubs on it, lays on it. I put it back in the baggie with the herbal mixture every 2-3 days to re-marinate it.
Feelgood Treats -- Liver Snapz
MSRP: $2.29
Small, dry, crunchy bits of goodness. These chicken liver recipe treats are a favorite of Dartanyen's.
Maddex doesn't like anything too crunchy, so he wasn't into these, but Dartanyen loves everything so he was more than happy to eat his and Maddex's share!
Feline Greenies
MSRP: $2.19
My cats have already been enjoying Feline Greenies for a while now. Maddex loves them and would eat the whole bag if given the chance.
Crunchy little morsels of delicious, dental goodness. They hadn't had the Tuna flavor yet, but they seemed to love them regardless!
Meowbox is a really nice box. I love the fact they get toys that seem more homemade and that they support Etsy shops. Both of my boys loved the toys and the treats and have continued to play and enjoy. It's a pretty good quality and assortment.
It's a little pricey because of the shipping cost ($10.00), making the actual box cost about $22.95. The approximate retail value of the box is $27.54 (based on average prices I found online). I feel that if you don't mind the shipping cost, you and your cats would love this box as well. It's an awesome box, regardless. I love watching my boys get excited about new things and they loved Meowbox.
