These days, there are even more options for treating yourself without having to leave your sweatpants on the floor. There are hundreds on subscription boxes tailored for you during your period.

TOMbox (formerly known as Swaagbox) is one of those boxes. For $16.00 a month you can receive a box with your favorite feminine item and a couple of goodies.

Each box is customizable. You can choose pads or tampons in your favorite brand. Added in are surprise goodies like make up, jewelry and candy. You can also choose to double the make up and jewelry for an additional $6.00/mo or a Venus 4pk of razor cartridges for $12.00/mo. They also offer a No-Flow box for $10.00 or a one time box for $24.00. Shipping is included on all orders.

Your basic feminine necessity. Although, I am not a fan of the Clicks and know I did not select them, because they aren't even an option. I selected the Sleek tampons. Clicks and sleeks are not the same.

This was extremely disappointing. If they are going to ship you something other than what you requested, what's the point of requesting to begin with?

Fun-size Candy Bars

MSRP: About $.25/bag (based on 150 pc variety mix)

A fun-size Milky Way, M&M's and a Crunch bar. Little snacks are always nice, but other boxes seem to offer more in quantity or a better quality.

Don't get me wrong, I like these types of candies, but, for example, previous boxes gave Knot truffles or a bag full of a variety of goodies.

Not a horrible thing, but I've seen better.

Cargo Liquid Eye Liner - Black

MSRP: $20.00

This is a very nice liner. It's silky, goes on easily and the applicator aides in the perfect line.

Now, basing the make up quality off of the first items pulled out of the box, I assumed this would be something cheap. However, come to find out it is a $20.00 liner. Nice.

This made up for the wrong tampons and fun-size candies. I really didn't expect such a nice, higher-end make up.

Cailyn Mineral Eyeshadow - Iron

MSRP: $12.00

Okay, so the make up is totally making up for the rest of the box. The two make up items alone equal twice the box price. I'm feeling a bit better about this box.

This eyeshadow is very shimmery and goes on beautifully. I was able to create a beautiful, sparkly smokey eye. I love it! It's a fantastic quality. Mineral eyeshadows can really be hit-or-miss, but Cailyn is definitely a hit!

I don't know the creator of this bracelet, thus I was unable to find a price, but it feels like your typical mass merchandiser $5.00 bangle-set bracelet. It's cute and versatile, simple.

Overall, I was only semi-impressed with TOMbox. The only thing that rescued it was the make up. I was surprised to have such high-end products. Unfortunately, it didn't rescue it enough. The feminine product was entirely wrong and not even a listed product. The fun-sized candies were slightly disappointing. The bracelet is "ehh". If this was a make up box, I'd be elated, but it's supposed to be a period subscription box.

The box doesn't contain a product card, so I looked up the pricing on the items I was able to. A product card would have been tremendously helpful and add a little personality to the box.

I can't say I would recommend TOMbox over other boxes. I feel that other boxes have a better quality and quantity, but for around the same price. It definitely isn't one I will be subscribing to.
